Boardstorming, Explained.

 
 

Boardstorming is a process we created to generate a lot of loose ideas for strategic direction, design direction, printing techniques, social techniques, and/or outreach ideas. Basically, every idea we can think of is placed on a board for feedback and conversation with the client. It allows us to quickly understand what is possible, but more importantly, what is not possible for tactics, styles, messaging, and/or strategies.

 

Simple, Middle, Wild:  From boardstorming we collectively select three directions to move forward with. 

The goal is to select: 
     • Simple & Safe direction
     • Wild direction
     • Middle direction

 

Sample Project
Based on our team’s presentation for a comprehensive report the client chose three boards: 

simple = framed content, middle = utilitarian, wild = way to go pattern

 

Round 01 Composites
Our team presented Round 01 the “Simple” composite (framed content) 

Includes 1 cover, 1 divider, and 2 internal pages

Our team presented Round 01 the “Middle” composite ( (utilitarian) 

The WTC team presented Round 01 the “Wild” composite ( (way to go patterns) 

 

Boardstorming allows us to achieve a true Round 01 with three distinct design directions. This has been a key differentiator of our agency and we’ve been able to influence chage in the status quo.
